In 1620, the Pilgrims first landed at Provincetown before settling in Plymouth. During the 18th and 19th centuries, Cape Cod thrived on fishing, whaling, and shipbuilding. By the late 19th century, it became a popular summer destination, with the construction of railroads and resorts. Today, Cape Cod is known for its picturesque beaches, historic lighthouses, charming villages, and thriving tourism industry, making it a beloved retreat for visitors from around the world.
